2016 Toyota Prius

For this video digest series — which was created for Toyota to send to dealers across the world to introduce the 2016 model Prius — production took place over 4 days in San Francisco and the Bay Area and 1 day in Toyota, Japan.

Because the car had not been manufactured at the time of shooting, the exterior shots of the car were filmed using a stand-in vehicle, which was an earlier model Prius. In post-production, the car was replaced with a CG rendering of the upcoming model. The interior driving shots with the actors were filmed using a mock-up vehicle at Toyota’s studio in Japan and were then composited together with plates taken while in San Francisco.
